Who’s on Twitter? Who needs help getting there? Why do we care so much? There are lots of authors who are terrible at social media. Following their accounts is like signing up for the Home Shopping Network in print, 280 characters at a time: buy my book, blay, blah. It’s obnoxious. And it doesn’t sell books.
Social media is… well… social. It’s a place for making friends, learning about other people, lending a hand when you can. Venting? Sometimes. Being political? It’s a mistake some of us make sometimes. The point is, Twitter is an especially good place to connect with people you don’t know. And, if you harness the power of the Amelia Indies there? The reach for you getting new followers or having people come to a virtual event or buy your latest release? Well, it’s a lot more than any of us could generate on our own.
So this is the place to put your Twitter handle in the comments. Follow each other there. Ask your questions.
